THE MIDNIGHT PERFECTION
by: Haresh Daswani

Breathe,
And hear nothing but the silence of the fields,
See nothing but infinite emptiness,
And feel nothing but the cool wind...
As you feel the breeze of my breath on your ears,
Close your eyes, and listen...

The vast loneliness of midnight,
Stretch infinite darkness over land,
Midway through time of infinite mystery...
When all's asleep, in their silent abode,
Cool wind blows through...
Not a soul in sight,
You arrived, my dear,
Your silhouette, behind you the moon...
Pray don't leave, dear Venus,
For we only have met,
As your beautiful lips shiver in fear,
Don't run from the unknown...
Hold my hand, my dear,
As your lips come closer to mine...
Hear sweet lullabies from the wind,
While void casts above us...
Pray whisper to the wind,
That you won't leave me
For I am all alone,
As you hold my hand,
I wish this will never end,
With the sands blowing through,
And the void, for miles on 'till blindness,
A time perfect, and beautiful,
The moon, at its peak...
As silence dwell through time infinity...

The Fine Line Between Genius and Insanity
